How do I order a custom bar plug?
The first step is to contact me by email at kveloboy@aol.com with your idea or inquiry, and you can also email an image you would like to have on the order at that time if you wish. Most formats are acceptable for your emailed images. If you do not have an image, feel free to send a description of the image you have in mind, and I can respond and send you samples via email, no charge for these preliminary services!
Our cycling club would like to have our club logo on a quantity of bar plugs, what is the procedure and price structure?
Contact me by email at kveloboy@aol.com with your proposal, and you can send me a downloadable image of your logo at that time, or later. I can evaluate the logo and let you know if it will be workable for a bar plug image. If the image is satisfactory, you can order a proof set of one pair for the custom price of $16.00 which I will make and submit to you for consideration. If revisions are necessary, I will make them and send you another proof set at no charge. Upon acceptance, you may place your order for the quantity you need. Quantity prices are:2-5 pairs, $8.00 per pair. 6-10 pair, $7.50 per pair. 11-25 pair, $7.00 26-50 pair, $6.50, and 51+pair, $6.00 per pair. Most orders can be filled and shipped within a 7-10 day period.
Will these bar plugs fit my roadbike?
The road bar plugs we offer fit almost all road bike drop handlebars, old and new, the road bar end size has not changed much in the last few years. The newer oversize roadbars using a 31.8 stem opening are larger on the front of the bars, but these plugs still fit the ends. The only exceptions we have become aware of so far are the newer carbon integrated bars such as the Cinelli Ram, the bar end openings are smaller and will not accomadate our plugs. These plugs do fit snugly when used with most popular brands of cork wrap, so if you are using thicker padded or gel cork wrap you may need to shave the pflanges a bit to insert the plugs in some cases. The plugs have a recess at the front of the pflange which 'clamps' the wrap, and relaxes the plug fit when the plugs are fully inserted, so while initial insertion may seem a bit forced, it will relax when the plugs are inserted to the end of the handlebars.
Do you ship to addresses outside the United States?
Yes, we ship worldwide! Cost is $5.50 to any country outside the US, using USPS air letter post, which usually takes 5-10 days to anywhere in the world.
How long does it take to fill/ship my order?
Almost all items in the catalog are in stock, and are shipped within 48 hours of receiving your order, usually sooner. We use USPS first class mail for domestic orders, and delivery is usually within 2-4 days throughout the US. International orders go out via USPS air letter post, 5-7 days to most countries. Custom orders also normally are completed and shipped within 48 hours upon mutual approval of image and payment, and we strive to keep customers informed if any delays or problems arise. Most custom images can be transferred to a barplug within a day or two of receiving your file.
